Way back when…
I was a Vice President of Merchandising for Ann Taylor in New York City. During my decade long tenure with that company, I got engaged and began shopping for my own wedding gown. It was during that process that I simultaneously fell in love with bridal and was wildly disappointed in the bridal shopping experience. So, a few years and two children later…I left New York City and opened up The White Dress by the shore, a luxury bridal boutique situated in an antique home on the Connecticut shoreline. Â
My goal was to create an intimate and memorable shopping experience for brides, one that I did not have myself. Â
When I opened my store in 2004, it was a whole new world for me…
And it was not just because I was also mothering a 3 year old and a 6 month old! Navigating the world of bridal was like learning a whole new language… And there was no dictionary!Â
But like you, I was determined to turn my passion into a reality and I went on to create the bridal store and experience that I felt every bride deserved. That passion quickly blossomed into a thriving million $ + business.Â
After 20 years of running my store I understand the challenges that you as a bridal store owner face. I know what it is like to manage payroll, deal with challenging brides (and Moms), handle the ebbs and flows of cash flow, train a team of stylists, and all the while, keep a smile on your face! I have been where you are…and I am still here! I want to be the dictionary for you that I never had. I want to provide a roadmap to success that I wish I had when I started my store from scratch 20 years ago.Â
I believe that you should not have to run your business alone- I am here for you!Â
